DIRECTIONS AND OVERVIEW |

|
Little Sahara State Park is located in NW Oklahoma, 4 miles south of Waynoka on Hwy. 281.
Little Sahara offers the perfect "oasis" for off-road vehicle enthusiasts with 1,450 acres of sand dunes to ride ranging in height from 25 to 75 feet. |
|
The dunes were created over 11,000 years ago from terrace deposits and well-sorted quartz left by the Cimarron River when it flowed across this area during the Pleistocene Age. This makes for extremely fine quartz sand. Each year nearly 100,000 off-road vehicle enthusiasts visit the park. |

For those who want to stay and play, picnic and camping facilities are available, and seasonal concession stands provide refreshment. The Park offers 3 picnic shelters seating up to 80 people, 139 non-assigned campsites in two campgrounds with comfort stations and showers, 42 semi-modern sites (electrical and water) with a dump station for RVs, and 97 unimproved sites in the two campgrounds for tents. |
